  • String Theory... I've been going slightly cross-eyed this week, working on this! It's 40x40cm and I'm pretty happy with it! My intention is to do a partner piece, either the same size or a circle. Undecided for the moment! #linoprint #linogravure #lines #parallel #black #ink #Sunday #art #imperfect #okwiththat #alwayslearning
  • Key plate cut! No time to print out tonight... Perhaps tomorrow night but it might have to wait until the weekend. Fairly pleased with it so far and I fixed her arm, which was looking dislocated 😂 #wip #workinprogress #art #linogravure #linoprint #linocut #reliefprint #monday
  • Thinking of turning this into a linoprint with a big wallpaper sort of thing as background. Will see how I go today... I'll try a keyline layer for once and use multiple plates #wip #sketch #linoprint #linogravure #Sunday #art #letsgo
  • Foggy run this morning. I trained last year for the Melbourne Marathon for 5 months and ran nearly every morning, including all through winter. Sunday morning runs were, and are, my favorite when the streets are empty and hardly anyone's around. 5 degrees and foggy this morning; absolutely glorious! #coolrunning #longleggings #earlymornings #Sunday #Sundayrun #justrun #timeforbreakfast #melbourne
  • Yeah! Let's go again! 😂 This will be the third time doing this chick. What a troublemaker. #redo #art #learningfrommistakes #linocut #linoprinting #wip #Sunday #linogravure #diver #series
  • Diver III test print. A few things to fix. Actually, I'm not especially happy with the pattern. I may have to do this plate again. #wip #art #Sunday #linocut #linoprinting #diver #series #nopressure

Follow Me!

Like most people, I struggle to describe myself. I suppose I’m more well-read than not, more introvert than extrovert, more active than lazy and more caring than apathetic. I’ve been messing about with lino prints since early 2016 but became more serious about it after I finished my first (and potentially, last) marathon in October 2016.

I used to fiddle around with photography and have a lot of photographic detritus still. Film canisters, developer, tripods, 4×5 large format camera and film holders, a Polaroid Land Camera, DSLR, and so on. One day, I’ll decide what to do with it all. But there’s plenty of time for that.

I think I’m quite a determined person. Although, it’s difficult to distinguish determination from stubbornness at times.
